Fuseta
Fuseta is a small, laid-back fishing village in the eastern Algarve, known more for its atmosphere than for major sights.
It has a quiet, local feel, excellent seafood, and sits within the beautiful Ria Formosa, a coastal lagoon ideal for birdwatching, kayaking, and enjoying nature. One of its highlights is the contrast between two beaches: a calm, shallow lagoon beach right in town and a wilder Atlantic beach across the water, accessible by ferry or small boat.
Life here still revolves around fishing, with boats in the harbor and fresh catch going straight to simple local restaurants. It’s not a place for nightlife or landmarks, but for a slower pace and a more authentic side of the Algarve; it works especially well for a short, relaxed stay.
